Verify your website

Before AskAI reads your whole website, two things are needed: you confirm the website is yours (or that you are allowed to add it), and our check finds your script line on the live site.

Steps

  1. In your dashboard, add your website address under Install on your website.
  2. Tick the statement that this is your own website, or one you are authorised to add the assistant to. We store your name and the time.
  3. Install the script line (see the install guides) and publish your site.
  4. Press Check installation. When the line is found with your key, the website shows as Verified and learning starts.

Before verification

Until a website is verified, the assistant only uses the page the visitor is currently on and your own written answers.

Staying verified

We re-check verified websites regularly. If the line disappears (for example after a redesign), the website goes back to “current page only” until the line is back. Your learned pages and answers are kept.

The www and non-www versions of your domain count as the same website.
